I want to make my living as a writer and I want to write about things that have some bearing on my day-to-day living experience, like food, travel, funny observations or perhaps any observations. If you have happened upon my blog, like it, and are in a position to give me a job as a writer, please, please do at least give it some consideration.

A day at the beach

A lone boat points toward the ocean. I just love the look of this seaworthy fishing boat . It was all I could do not to hop in and shove off.

I don't know if you can see the sail boats in the background of this shot of the sea. It was a sailing class, a beautiful sight to behold.

These little mini huts are actually cabins! They are all over the southern coast. Most of them, from what I could see, close up with double doors, like a back-yard shed. But when the doors are opened, these teeny tiny huts have sinks, tables, couches; people use them to enjoy a day or a weekend at the beach. I want one desperately. Keep in mind that my birthday is coming up.

I didn't realize that England has nude beaches. Actually,
I'm still not sure it does but this toddler certainly thinks so.

I have recently discovered that London has been unable to escape it's reputation for abysmal, damp, depressing weather because it's true. For something like 3 consecutive weeks I had not seen the sun. It had been windy, rainy, cloudy, drizzly or foreboding, but it had not been sunny. Not until yesterday and what a day it was. I had the sun, a breeze, the beach, the ocean and her calming waves, a good book, a decent sandwich and a blanket. I needed nothing else. I started at Cooden Beach and walked my way to Hastings. It was a walk turned hike that will remind me of better days to come when the cloud cover returns.
